FAQ

Sick leave

Do you get paid when you are sick?

Yes, if you have reported sick via our sick report procedure, you will receive sick pay for the period that you are sick. Please note that you must follow our sickness reporting procedure. Did you forget to do this? Then you are also not entitled to sickness benefit, so make sure you read the procedure carefully and please do not forget to follow it.

What are waiting days?

Waiting days are a start-up period before you receive sick pay. We use 1 waiting day. This means that you will not receive any sick pay for the first 1 day of your illness. If you are ill for longer than one day, you will be paid sick pay.

How much will I get paid?

The amount of your sick pay depends on the average number of working your had work at Staffice in the past 13 weeks. If you have worked less than 13 weeks, we take the average of that shorter period.

Your hourly wage during illness is 90% of your current hourly wage.

Example: You have worked for 6 weeks and you become ill.

  • Week 1 worked 40 hours
  • Week 2 worked 32 hours
  • Week 3 worked 36 hours
  • Week 4 worked 40 hours
  • Week 5 worked 10 hours
  • Week 6 worked 20 hours

Average: 178 hours / 6 weeks = 29.6 hours on average per week

Your normal weekly salary = weekly salary €348.58 gross (=29.6*11.75)

Your salary if you are ill = €313.72 gross (=348.58*90%)
