About the Role
As an Export Coordinator Latin America, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing international shipments to and from the Latin American region. You’ll coordinate air and ocean freight, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, and work closely with global clients, freight forwarders, and customs authorities. In this role, you’ll be the key point of contact for Latin American markets, leveraging your expertise in regional logistics, customs procedures, and trade regulations. You’ll work in a fast-paced, international logistics environment, where efficiency, sustainability, and innovation are at the core of operations.
Your Responsibilities as an Export Coordinator Latin America:
- Manage and coordinate export shipments via air and ocean freight for Latin American clients.
- Ensure customs clearance and trade compliance, handling documents like AWBs, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Origin.
- Liaise with logistics partners, shipping lines, and airlines to secure optimal transport routes.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients in Latin America, ensuring smooth communication and service excellence.
- Proactively solve logistical challenges, ensuring shipments reach their destinations on time.
- Analyze market trends and optimize freight strategies for Latin American trade lanes.
- Work closely with international teams to improve logistics processes and efficiency.
- Monitor sustainability initiatives, ensuring that shipments align with environmentally friendly practices.
What You Bring to the Role:
- At least 2 years of experience in an export or logistics role, preferably focused on Latin America.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus!).
- Strong knowledge of Latin American customs regulations and trade compliance.
- Experience with international logistics software and export management systems (such as Cargowise or similar TMS).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Customer-oriented mindset, ensuring high-quality service for global clients.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to logistics challenges.
