Your Workday
You start the day by analyzing customer requests and gathering competitive rates from suppliers. Next, you create customized transport solutions and ensure a seamless handover to the operations team. Throughout the day, you maintain contact with customers and suppliers, strengthen relationships, and optimize pricing strategies. By the end of the day, you have not only assisted clients but also contributed to the company’s success!
Your Responsibilities
- Preparing and managing transport quotations with accurate cost calculations.
- Responding quickly and accurately to rate inquiries for air, sea, and road transport.
- Maintaining relationships with transport companies and negotiating the best rates.
- Ensuring correct documentation and smooth handover of orders to the operations team.
- Proactively following up with customers and optimizing customer relationships.
- Keeping pricing databases up to date and conducting market research.
- Analyzing market trends and contributing to pricing strategies.
Your Profile
- MBO+/HBO education level with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with air and sea freight (export/import) and customs formalities.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and forwarding processes.
- Excellent Excel skills (including pivot tables).
- Strong communication skills; German is a plus.
- Customer-oriented, strategic, and problem-solving mindset.
- Independent and stress-resistant with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in the English language.
